RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CENTER
August 2015-May 2019
I taught Religious Education at the Ismaili Jamatkhana Beaumont to first graders for four years, serving the role of Teacher Assistant and eventually Teacher. My Saturdays consisted of three hours of instruction and two hours of preparation. Weekly preparation included creating lesson plans, activities, and report cards to reflect student progress. Through this experience, I gained invaluable communication skills from reporting to the principals, parents, and other teachers in order to improve student learning.

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
August 2016- Present
I have been involved in the Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) at the Ismaili Jamatkhana Beaumont for over three years. The program serves children from ages birth to six and helps them develop skills in math, reading, art, science, etc and integrates learning for both parent and child. I have served as the Specials teacher for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) by engaging children through hands-on learning and activities. Performing this voluntary work has augmented my skills in leadership and group management while also fulfilling my passion of working with children.

The Ismaili Volunteer Corp is a group of volunteers who perform seva (service) in the Ismaili Jamatkhana Beaumont. Duties include setting up prayer services, cleaning the facility, and assisting in religious festivals and events. I was honored to be given the title of Youth Team Leader (2017-2018), Youth Assistant Facilitator (2018-2019), and Youth Facilitator (2019-Present).
